Learning Disabilities Care
Whatever your age, Home Care Angels staff are trained to the highest standards to be able to care and support people with learning difficulties and complex needs. We offer high quality support and care, ensuring we maintain the independence of each person.
Understanding individual needs
After meeting with you, our experienced care team will develop a personalised care package to cover your requirements. This is tailored to specifically respond to your individual needs with a meaningful and person centred approach.
As well as offering our support, we help and encourage people to live their lives as independently as possible.
Home Care Angels have a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission across all 5 key areas - Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
Do I need support at home?
Support at home allows people with learning disabilities to live in their own home or with family and receive visiting support on a regular basis. This reduces the requirement for unnecessary care home admittance.
Our flexible support options can range from only a few hours per week to full-time live in assistance. We provide support for a range of activities, including:
- Cooking, cleaning, bed linen changing and laundry
- Dressing, washing and personal grooming
- Medication assistance and shopping help
We want people with learning difficulties to push themselves to live as full a life as possible. Our support workers and carers provide vital companionship and help people to pursue their hobbies and interests. As well as developing new relationships, we're keen to help people connect with their current friends and family on a regular basis so they remain included.
Learning disabilities effect around 1.5 million people in the UK. Many people with learning difficulties only minor needs, but some require lots of hands-on help, which is why we tailor our packages to help each individuals unique requirements.
We provide care in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.
We're here to help
We understand living with learning difficulties can be challenging, but with our support people can learn to live a more fulfilled life.
